How do Phone 1 and VOIP work
?
How reliable is iiNet's phone service?
Our phone service uses the same network used by most other Australians. So you can expect the same reliability and integrity of the phone services you have used to connect with in the past, plus access to really fast broadband at great rates when you bundle.
Can I select phone for just my local calls and line rental?
No, our broadband plans are only offered with phone full service, including line rental plus local, national, international and home to mobile calls. Plans "with phone" require that all services of phone are active on the line to maintain the features of our broadband bundled plans
What if I no longer want a phone service with iiNet?
If you decide to no longer use our phone service, please contact your new service provider and they will initiate the transfer of your line. If you have a bundled service with iiNet and you do not wish to change your Internet provider, we will gladly continue to be your ISP; however, you will not receive any of the benefits of bundling including $10 off your bill, higer speeds, double the downloads and your VOIP line.
Do you offer disability equipment including TTY phones or discounts?
We are able to bill for basic rental of disability equipment including TTY phones. If you rent this equipment from your current provider we can continue to bill you, but please note that we do not currently participate in any subsidy programs under the Disability Equipment Program and therefore an unable to offer a discount at this time. We recommend that customers with specific disability needs (including TTY equipment) consider these facts before applying for a phone bundle.
Should I use override codes with iiNet's phone services?
We do not recommend the use of override codes with our phone services. As our phone rates are so competitive use of override codes may incur higher charges than standard phone rates.
Do iiNet offer Priority Assistance?
Priority Assistance is a service for residential customers who have (or have an individual at their residence who has) a diagnosed life threatening medical condition. The objective is to provide this group of customers with the highest service level practicably available at the time.
Unfortunately at this time iiNet can not offer priority assistance. iiNet therefore recommends those customers in need of priority assistance take this into consideration before proceeding with an application.

If you are an existing customer on iiphone you can stay on iiphone or upgrade to Phone 1 its completely up to you. You now have the option to upgrade to Phone 1 through toolbox. It's quick, easy and best of all, free.
